“ We were pleasantly surprised with the food. Weren't even sure if the place was open because how it looks on the outside. We went in on a Monday and we're the only people in the restaurant & parking lot. Had a good time, the food /gumbo was excellent. Great place to stop ”
“ We arrived and couldn't get either door open. We ended up having to wait until another patron came out in order to get in. Word of advice, pull hard. Once inside, we ordered the frickles, but, as another patron said, there were enough there for three or more people. They should offer a half order so as not to waste so many. We also ordered the red bean gumbo, which was excellent, and the grilled shrimp platter. The shrimp were in a blackened seasoning and were quite good. I know another patron said the shrimp could be locally sourced and therefore fresher, but I thought they tasted just fine with the seasoning. The hush puppies that came with my platter were awesome! I am not a hush puppy afficianado, by any means, but I am picky about them and I thought they were one of the best things on my plate and wish I had had a couple more. Our waitress was polite and checked on us often. She kept our drinks filled which is one of my husband's biggest basis for leaving a tip. Overall, I thought it was good for our first Louisiana Creole restaurant and would eat there again. ”
“ Got the fried seafood platter (Shrimp, Catfish, and Oysters for 27) with Onion Rings as the side dish and everything was delicious! The shrimp and fish were cooked to perfection and the onion rings were thick cut and fresh. Had the bread pudding for dessert and it was unique, with cherries and other fruit in it. Pretty sure there was some apple in there with a nice cinnamon taste. We went for dinner on a Thursday night and were seated immediately. The service time was average and the waitress was friendly. Would highly suggest coming here for good seafood and that hometown feel atmosphere. ”
“ We were staying overnight about a half hour away and found the Creole House was the only place open for dinner. We were so glad we went. Haylee, our server, was delightful and so anxious to introduce us to regional hospitality and delicious food! She explained the local specialties and we were to happy we ordered them. The gumbo was delicious but the sausage chips were unbelievable! Thank you for a wonderful meal! ”
“ Tonight was me, my fiance and our 2 friends first time eating here. it was AMAZING. our server Haylee L was absolutely amazing. The food was perfect. it was overall a 100/10 experience and will be coming back for sure in the future! ”

“ Great atmosphere. The food was good. I had the white beans and sausage. I think they skimped on the beans and gave more rice. I’d go back. ”
“ Outstanding Southern comfort food. Stopped here on our way home. Avery, our server was great, took good care of us. Food was good. Shrimp and fish platter and red beans and rice was delicious.
